upcoming MGS meeting in SF Bay Area

To those of you in the SF Bay Area -

There is an upcoming Mediterranean Garden Society meeting here in
the East Bay. Katherine Greenberg will be speaking on 'The Gardens
of Castile and Andalusia'. Her frequent trips to Spain as a garden
tour guide, and her family's long history in California (they used
to own some of the adobes in Monterey) give her an interesting
perspective on how Spanish gardens have influenced our landscapes
here in California. For more about this talk, see our online
newsletter:

The meeting site is the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. Entrance to
the garden will be free for those attending this meeting, so it is
a goo opportunity to get reacquainted with this wonderful local
garden. Also, Marshall DeLeon of Diablo Nursery and Garden Center
will be bringing in some plants for our raffle. The talk is free
but a suggested donation of $5 will be gratefully accepted ;-)

If you wish to know more about this event or the Mediterranean
Garden Society, please let me know (or visit the web site).

Regards,
Sean O.
