I'm also going to talk about many of these in class: Gelsemium
sempervirens, Trachelospermum jasminoides, Cestrum nocturnum,
Stephanotis floribunda, and Pandorea jasminoides. I'm calling them the
jasmine impersonators!

Others have commented on the paucity of bloom in this jasmine. I wonder
why? I, myself, never got the Sambacs to bloom. But that was in a
coastal garden, so thanks to David Feix and you, I'm going to try again
in my hotter climate.
As to pronunciation; I really like "Yas - meen - um" ! It sounds so
romantic "Arabian Nights"! Goes with the plants!
