Yes, it's breezy, but not as windy as Shoreline in Mountain View.
> Is there salt in the underlying groundwater (how far down?)
No testing has been done on the soil or water, but given that the creek is
under tidal influence at this point, I think it's reasonable to assume that
the groundwater here is brackish at least. Assuming the groundwater lies at
the same level as the creek, the groundwater is about 25' below the site
level.
> Does the creek run all year?
Yes. There is water in it now.
