Thanks for responding so quickly, and if I was a
little more conversant in using my computer to resend
the photos, I'd do so, but it is beyond my abilities.
Your statement that Dombeyas aren't commonly grown
there also makes me realize that it probably is
Hibiscus syriacus, which I have never seen get that
big here in the states. I had no idea that they could
be used as 30 foot tall street trees, as they are
usually no more than large bushes here, perhaps to 15
feet tall. I didn't realize that the leaves got that
large as well. Would you happen to know the cultivar
name of the larger growing ones that are used as trees
there in Rome? It is always nice to know of other
possible medium size summer flowering trees.
