drought tolerant Hostas

Hi all,
I do love hostas and here, in my woodland garden they thrive, but I'm moving
to the south of France and would like to plant some ones in my new garden.
The soil will be alkaline and the climate different in having higher
temperatures in summer. Of course, I'll set up automatic watering system.
Could some one tell me which cultivars are better for mediterranean climate,
or, perhaps I'm foolish wanting hostas in such a climate?
