Joan:
Salvia involucrata x `Mulberrt Jam' is a garden sport from Betsy Clebsch's
garden. I've never heard of `Mulberry Wine', either as an alternate name or
varietal offering. MJ appears to be a hybrid with another species like S.
chiapensis or possibly S. greggii.
Spme years after offering S. greggii x microphylla `Raspberry Royale', I
noticed that others were offering `Royal Raspberry' and `Radpberry Ripple'.
I think the first went nowhere, and the latter has established itself on the
Pacific coast of the US and is different, according to SG. Whether they
have a totally separate or a derivative origin, I do not know.
