eremophilia

Has anyone outside Australia grown any of the Emu bushes? If so, were there any surprises? I am especially interested in Eremophilia latrobei as I am told that its distinct beetroot colour alters in 'foreign climes', but it has also been suggested to me that all of the Eremophilias shift in their habits becoming taller and more floriforous away from 'home'.
