Title: SUCCESS WITH CROCOSMIAS? Can anyone suggest the best way to grow crocosmias in our summer-dry climate? I’ve bought many of these lovely plants over the years and watched them spread and multiply in the garden, but rarely bloom. In sun the leaves turn brown (sunburn?) and I cut them down to avoid the unsightliness. In shade, the leaves turn pale and I get no flowers. I’ve tried them in sunny pots with other summer bloomers which receive regular water but the crocosmias still brown out. I’ve run out of ideas so would welcome any you may have.
Thank you.
