Hi Bracey -

Did you ever get an ID on this one?  I can confidently say that it is not
burdock.  It sort of looks sort of like Senecio confusus, the Mexican Flame
Vine.  Is it indeed a vine?  Are the stems somewhat succulent?  It certainly
seems like some type of Senecio or related Compositae.  I'd be happy to 'look
closer' at a larger picture if you'd sent it to me.
