A tree

I can hear the moans now.....but....I planted an Alnus cordata twenty years ago on hostile soil. It is now about 25 ft. It does not shed significantly. It is drought resistant. No diseases of any kind.It has lovely foliage. It gives good shade. And Rosa banksia lutea is near the top, with cascading lovely yellow blooms in early spring. This Italian alder is the pride of my gardening life.Oh, almost forgot, a Clematis montana rubra fills in the blank spaces. bill grant
