What a lovely thing. I am not familiar with cycas but I see this is also known as "sago palm" or "bread palm". Does this mean you can eat some part of it I wonder, and if so, which part? Yes no doubt it will carry on as before, producing these cones from time to time. My book says you can reproduce it from offshoots from the trunk, if you get any. The very feathery cone does not look female, but I wouldn't know. You will find out whether it produces nuts or flatter segments with pollen capsules underneath. Beverly These common names are very intriguing. I wonder if anyone on the list
knows their origin or whether any part is indeed edible?
