| Thanks for posting those links, David. Wonderful examples! I've been playing with planting bromeliads in the ground and wondering what you find to be the best planting mix for that application. I've had someone suggest mixing native soil with one third medium bark and one third small bark to create a well draining mix that will still be somewhat sustainable over time - especially in our Southern California soils that are much harder baked than your nice rain cloud moistened soils in Northern California.
