Hello all, I've been lurking far to long and I decided that the list may
just be able to supply an answer to my question, seeing as I have had no
luck at all in finding an answer.
I would like to know of anywhere in the world where Oxalis tetraphylla
grows naturally.
I know it is supposed to originate from Mexico but thats all I know,
where in Mexico??
I have one record for this species in Australia and it may have
vanished.
And where else has it naturalised?
It is commonly called "lucky clover", or "four leaf clover" or "lucky
plant" and there is a cv. called "Iron Cross". It is available in many
overseas supply catalogues but is usually the wrong species, quite often
the species being supplied is Oxalis deppei. Also O. tetraphylla is
often confused with O. latifolia, I don't know why!
I have had little success finding the answer to these questions here in
Australia, so few people have even seen this species here, it is
difficult to get any good observational data.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers,
Rod Randall
