That happens to be one of the more typical shrubs of the garrigue, here,
but I've never had the luck to get nurseries to stock it - it's regarded as
scrub! I'd reccommend it to anyone in a Med climate. Don't bother to
water; don't bother with much soil, it'll grow from a crack in the rock!
Another bush for hedges thet grows here is Phillyrea (latifolia for
lime,angustifolia for acid) has similar needs to Alaterne, but greyer
leaves. Gives a marbled effect when the two are mixed together in a
clipped hedge. Glad to hear, Sean, that Alaterne is appreciated somewhere
in the world,
