RE: Mimosa pudica


THis is very interesting. A plant that aussies despise is considered
interesting to us people in northern climes :). Dont worry, im not
about to let it get into my  yard (which it might turn weedy and go
feral). I also doubt it would last, even with our superficial frosts
and all. Ive done some research so yes, i know how bad it can be. Seems
like its almost as bad or worse as blackberry is here ( id rather run
through a patch of poison oak than that).  Im just amazed at how quick
its leaves will move :). I did an experiment with it, i put it near a
sunny window where its leaves were facing away, came back in an hour
and they were facing the window...Fascinating =).
