Re: Ants and anteaters

I'd go for toads. Ants have always been a problem here (New Mexico
desert)--up to this year. This year, however, I have more toads than I
can shake a stick at it and is the first year I haven't had ants all over
the place (yesterday evening I took a moment to sit in my small patio
where I was quickly joined by my eight outdoor cats and seven huge, fat
toads--wish someone could have gotten a picture of us all sitting
together enjoying the cool of the evening). On the other hand, toads make
their beds in the potted plants, and I am kept busy going around poking up
ended plants back in the pots. My correlation of more toads and less ants
may be false, but it seems reasonable.
