The Gloriosa lily (all the forms and varieties are now recognized as G.
superba) is a strictly tropical plant that will not stand freezing or
even near freezing temperatures. Best to dry it off with the onset of
cooler weather and overwinter the tubers indoors dry and at a temperature
of not lower than 60 F (15 C). The tubers are very susceptible to rot at
lower temperatures if moist.

Glorious as Gloriosa is in appearance, it can be hazardous to one's
health as all parts are toxic and can be fatal if ingested.
