I would have to second this idea, because I am NOT a big fan of Barnes and
Noble -- I know the chain is personally responsible for driving a couple
independents in my area out of business. The only reason I cut Amazon any
slack is because they had the idea first, and they are Seattle based (me too!)
I think Paul is really on the right track here with a garden oriented
sponsorship. If it does end up being a bookstore, can we try an
independent (the wonderful amazing Powells in Portland immediately comes to
mind)
