Hi all,
It occured to me that someone might be able to identify my houseplant, which
I suspect is more tropical than mediterranean. It says Pilea peperomia on
the label, but I can't find any record of this name anywhere - even the Kew
gardens database blew me out on this. It has peltate leaves (circular
with the leaf stem attached at the centre, like nasturtium) and each leaf
stem rises from a central column, which sheds leaves as it grows, like a
palm. It's a pretty thing, and while I've worked out that it likes a lot of
moisture and a lot of sun, I'm worried that I'm going to inadvertently kill
it.
If anyone can tell me anything about it, or point me towards a good site I'd
really appreciate it.
