RE: the Medit-Plants site 'books' section

	 Fellow M-P-Folks -

I am a little surprised at the reaction to my recent addition to the
M-P
site, but I guess I should know better. Including Barnes&Noble
links into
appropriate pages was certainly not intended to offend, nor does it
represent 'selling out', nor will it affect this e-mail forum (other
than
posts like this one), nor does it force anyone to purchase books in
any
	place in particular.

Why would / should anyone take offence at being offered a choice? I,
like most, love a good rummage in a bookshop, especially if it carries long
out of print books which I've been searching for. It's like encountering
an old friend.

But if this route proves fruitless (no pun intended) should we not use all
the resources at our disposal? Why do we have computers linked into the
Internet?

Although I do not use B&N out of convenience I much appreciate the
possibility of using them should they be my last resort to find a book.

By the way Sean, the list of books on the M-P list has been very useful.
I will be going to Spain next month and hope to use various of the books
purchased for reading & reference, after 'finding' them on the M-P list.

One suggestion. It would be good to know what others thought of the
books themselves. So the possibility of adding reader comments would
be something we could all benefit from.
