At the Santa Barbara (California) Botanic Garden, we tell customers
who ask that question " If you find an answer, please let us know"
Sometime cuttings will root and you think you are off to a good
start, and then the whole thing dies. Division is probably the
"best" option - but still with a high death rate. The seeds require
fire to germinate.
And they grow wild here!
