Do you really mean Spathodea campanulata?  There is one just to the front of the MEM Botanical Garden that is every inch of 50' if not more - I love to go to 
the 4th or 5th floor to get closer to those marvelous flowers.

There is another one on Venice Blvd. about a mile west of the 405.  I'd peg it at about 35 - 40'.  It is much wider than the one mentioned above.  

The only S. campanulata I've gotten close to that fits your 15' description is in a pot.  (And free to a good home, last I heard.)
