Nick, frost is not the problem with quince, so MO should be fine as quince 
need a cool climate - plus a moist soil that does not dry out and a sunny 
position.  I don't grow your variety but they're all much the same. Pruning 
is important in the early winter to form a round open tree [cut out weak 
shoots, and shorten others by a third to an outward facing bud to get the 
tree to grow horizontally outwards rather then upright]. Medlar are much the 
same but grow larger.
