Hi folks,
what vines would you suggest for a very exposed situation, a pergola running parallel to the shore, almost on the beach, with salt-laden winds in the winter and baking sun in the summer? Studying here and there I came up with the following list, but I don't have first hand experience with any except Hibbertia, Pandorea and Podranea (that I don't fidn that salt-resistant).
Clerodendron inerme, Podranea ricasoliana, Hibbertia scandens, Hoya australis, Kennedia rubicunda, Marsdenia fraseri, Cissus hypoglauca, Pandorea pandorana.
Note that the trees associated with this planting are Metrosideros. Do you have advice about these, or other vines, and any experience with similiar situations? Thanks,
Alessandra
