Hi Tim,
I grow roses in Berkeley and the one that's most
spectacular for me is Graham Thomas. There's no stopping
it/him except for very hot weather. I also have Mme Alfred
Carriere which is against the house and also a bit too
vigorous. I've noticed that most of my roses get better and
better. I use the no-til method with lots of compost and
that could be one reason why. I've actually grown mutabilis
and Joseph's Coat from slips, much to my amazement.
