Time Inc. sold Sunset to Regent, a Beverly Hills private equity firm, in November. Not sure there will be much focus on gardening going forward. "There will be a greater focus on the magazine’s wine and food events and its model homes, which are designed to showcase innovations in architecture and construction."

I've recently re-found the following pages in an older issue of the Sunset Western Garden Book (1988). They contain a table of information about when to plant common vegetable in what Sunset climate zone (a very concise system that details our various microclimates here on the west coast of the USA). These zone represent various _expression_ of the mediterranean climate. With all of the current interest in growing food, I am surprised that Sunset magazine has not republished this information.
