Powis Castle

 I just cut my 'Powis Castle' back severely to 6" stubs.  It doesn't look
 very good today but it leafs back out quickly.  I do this once a year so
 that I can keep it in its place.  I grow it on a 6-8' wide slope next to
 Salvia leucantha.  They make a great team together but after 1 year both
 are too large and must be cut back.
