Mediterranean zones

 About a year ago I wrote to the group telling them that I
 was part of a group starting a botanical garden in San Luis
 Obispo.  We are now planting what we are calling the Preview
 Garden and I am putting together the succulent section.  I
 am not able to get a really good definition of the borders
 of the Mediterranean regions.  Last year I received some
 information from Stephanie Tiffany which she took from an
 old physical geography book.  I am trying to find that book
 or a similar one here.  Right now I am interested in finding
 succulent plants from Chili.  There are many cacti there,
 but I think they are all in the mountains.  I am also trying
 to find some sedum from the Mediterranean as some of them
 are listed as Alpine in the books I have available.

 I would appreciate it if any of you have any thoughts that
 would be beneficial to us as we are trying to keep all the
 plants we plant endemic to the Medit region.
