I'd go further than this Kay:  Never hire a 'neat-freak' as a
greenhouse manager full stop - unless he *knows* what every plant
should look like!  I once took on a manager who came to me from one of
the top pot plant and perennial producers in the UK.  One year, whilst
I was holidaying in the Canary Islands, he decided to 'tidy' up a
glasshouse which held my own collection of rarities.  I lost many
trays of Dasylirion, Anigozanthus and Boronia seedlings.  He thought
that 'weeds' had invaded and so decided to get rid of them.  When I
had a staff revue the following spring, I decided to 'weed' him out :)
