I was out driving today and saw some yuccas with flowers. It brought up
this little memory of the summer :)
I was out in the big sur country ( just south of Carmel, California {
where Clint eastwood lives} :) ) this summer and i noticed hundreds of
Yuccas, the Our lords candle. They were like little grey green grassy
clumps all over the dry mountain sides.These are some of the prettiest
Yuccas i have seen! Nice slender leaves, grey green, looking like a
stiff clump of grass. The flowers were spectacular. THe group i was
with thought the flower spikes were trees! I can see why theyre named
Our Lords Candle. It just too bad non of the nurseries stock them!
THey would put the tree Yuccas to shame ( i dont know their latin,
sorry :) )
