RE: something scandalous...?


I think the world definitely needs more singed red Begonia 
semperflorens.

Actually, they are doing masses of obnoxious perennials up here in 
Seattle, the favorite tends to be a big rampant hypericum.  Almost put 
me off Hypericums for ever.

Now they are taking nicer plants and massing them and making them 
tiresome.  I loved Winter daphne when I came here, but mass plantings of 
them, in full sun on hot rocks?  Or trying to breathe while walking 
through a garden that has 300 Sarcococcas in it...  500 Hellebores in 
block formation?  I think there are certain plants that landscape 
architcts should not be allowed to buy. ;)
