For damp shady spots under the Fraxinus rotundifolia, you could have Tradescantia, and Asphodelus fistulosus (delicately scented of onion). Vinca major would provide blue highlights, and Cyperus rotundus a lush green carpet. The wonderfully herbicide-resistant Hedera helix could occupy any bare areas. Liz
