How about Japanese spurge?  It will grow in the driest, most foot-worn places,
and the tiniest, one-inch plant will produce hundreds of seeds which remain
viable for 20 years or more with an almost 100% germination rate.  All my
efforts at eradication of this plant in my garden have only encouraged it.
