   For those who haven't heard, northern california got snow down to sea
   level, and as far south as Monterey today.

   Unfortunately were supposed to have clear skies tonight which means we
   will probably get a hard freeze! 

I sure hope you're wrong!  This is the latest info I have.  Is yours more
recent?

Our overnight low here in Oakland (more inland than the offical Oakland
temps but still west of the hills) was 24.2 (at 7:15am).

I'm not sure yet which of my plants made it.  We mulched anything
marginial, brought in the potted plants except for some on the front porch
which had sheets over them, and put sheets over the avocado and hibiscus.
Unfortunately, I just assumed it would be above freezing by sunrise and
asked my SO to remove the sheets on his way to work (he leaves at 7am).

Had there been any rain, it would have been snow.  Brrrrrrrrr... 

Cyndi, who is very confused, thinking herself to be back in Boston. :-)
