Salvias and the freeze

Nan, Paul and Richard
Yhe reason I feel I should not cut back my salvias, damaged or not,
until the end of Feb/ first of Mar, is our usual winter rain. Granted,
we're not having much yet, but you never know! That excess foliage,
bedragled as it is, is still able to transpire excess moisture in the
soil. I've lost perennials and small shrubs in the past from cutting
down all that foliage too soon trying to be "Mrs. Garden Neatsie"!
Happy Garden Year to all. Thankyou so much for being here. I've learned
so much from so many of you. And I don't often come back to tell you.
Your scholarship, insights and wit make this list the most worthwhile
place I've found!
