Re: Cutting back after the freeze

I think I mentioned that during the '91 freeze, my two Tasmanian tree ferns
(Dicksonia antarctica) were completely defoliated, leaving just a couple of
furry stumps.  Although one of them began putting on new growth in early
summer, the other one didn't have a sign of life until August!  So don't be
too hasty to cut down or dig up.
