Janet B asks if we think vegetable talk is off subject, and my response is
that veggies are plants too, and they grow in the Medit. region. There was a
lot of interest in pomegranates, so why not veg ?I seem to remember being
taught at school that a tomato is a fruit, but I always buy it as a
vegetable. I find it all interesting, but then maybe I am just a nosey
parker.
Could someone please tell me how you know when a pomegranate is ripe. the
ones I squeeze in the shops are all bullet hard?
Congrats to Graham Rice on being shortlisted for the Garden Writers Guild
Awards. From Jenny Copley-May [ S. France ] useless at growing vegetables;
well, they need so much attention.
