I'm not sure about this, but I've been asked about supplying dry,
straight reeds with a min. diameter of 2.5" twice in the past year.
Apparently they are used to make the main body of some musical
instrument, but I've never really bothered to find out very much about
it.  I was under the impression it was for some kind of 'ethnic' piece
as opposed to a more easily recognised instrument.
