I wonder if you could ask this Q for me on Internet to your gardening
friends?

The perimeter of my garden of about 150 meters was planted some 12 years
ago in my ignorance, with Arizona cypresses and inbetween them
honeysuckle alongside a wire fence, the idea being then to provide
privacy in a short time span.
Since, I have cut down and uprooted wherever possible the gigantic
honeysuckle bushes before they overan my and my neighbours' gardens.
But there are still several stumps left which are almost unaccessible as
they are inside the wire, and which sprout persistently however often I
pull off the young shoots. I believe the only way of getting rid of them
altogether will be spraying or painting them with some powerful
herbicide, without killing the adjacent now very handsome cypresses
which have been allowed to grow into proper trees some 4 meters apart
(not a hedge as such). Can someone advise what best to do at a
reasonable cost, and with what product? The objective is to kill off the
honeysuckle completely.
