Re: favorite fragrant plants


There is a terrifically fragrant Moroccan (hence,
Mediterranean) Salvia which I have grown.  It is
Salvia taraxacifolia and, as you can tell by its name,
looks somewhat weedy.

It has pale flowers, nothing of note, but its flowers
(or could it be its gummy bristly bracts) smell of --
and get this -- fruity-tooty bubblegum!

I'm not sure I can recommend it for its looks but its
fragrance is unique.
