Well, then this is exactly what we have in what we like to call our
backyard. The leaves are pointed, slightly hairy in all the places you
mentioned. It doesnt resemble St. Augustine grass from what i've seen. 

I remember being quite itchy from rolling around on lawns of this as a
kid. Not pleasant to walk on either (IMHO). Also, we've found it trying to
make it's way up drain pipes or under siding. Even found it made its way
into our garage.
