Well
That would certainly explain it being labelled "Silver Wattle" though
obviously not the common silver species.
A decora is evidently not commonly grown in gardens in Australasia as
neither my Australian nor NZ garden books refer to it at all.

Acacia decora is mentioned in Australian plants for the garden by Thistle Harris
