Papavars and snails?

A simple question -- my P. lacinatum & P. somnif. seedlings are about ready 
to plant out, but I can't recall whether the snails bother them or 
not.  Can anyone in a slug-and-snail environment remind me?  I've got a 
choice of two places to put them -- one is terribly beloved by the snails, 
and the other isn't so bad.
