I concur with the idea of growing it up a frame away from the wall, as
we have done. Apropos rats, yes they do nest in it and a sign of their
occupancy (and their appetite) is the mess of chewed wood left after
their nightly munching on the young branches. Does not seem to bother
the bouganvillea, though!
