Bob Beer in Instanbul, Turkey?

Hi Folks -
I've been trying to track down a former Medit-Plants personality that many
of you may recall from the discussion. It is Bob Beer who was so
authoritative on Turkish Flora (as well as music and culture!). I have
information that he may be currently living in Istanbul, Turkey, continuing
his musical studies. Does anyone out there have information to support
this? Does anyone know how to contact him? (or perhaps is he 'listening
in' on this forum from there? - I find it hard to believe that he could
hold himself back from participating if he were, based upon what I know if
him!)
If anyone can help me find out some information about our old friend Bob,
I'd greatly appreciate it.
I am also looking for others who might be knowledgeable about Turkish Flora
and have access to plant material.
