Perhaps some of the Hibiscus species
match your plant. There are some of the less showy types that are in the
yellow/orange color family, and it is in the mallow family.

Subject: Unkown plant I have since two year a shrub in my garden, which I find hard
to identify.
The present hight is about 1.5m but I think it will be become
much bigger. The flowers are Malva like, single and yellow-orange. The leaves
are similair to Sparmania africana. Both the leaves and the branches are
hairy.
It flowers since autumn.
Any suggestions
