Ill tell you a little about my garden.Yesterday i decided to stop neglecting
the sparse raggety grassy area and pull out the burr clover. I got most of it
out but then decided the partially dead or yellow grass needed a hair cut.
Took out the weed eater and cut it down, almost to the roots.Hopefully the
grass will come in greener. Ive found some very interesting weeds in there,
mostly the largest devils darning needle ive ever seen ( you know the weed
with ferny looking leaves and the five petaled small purple flowers that give
way to several needle looking seed pods). Anyhow, i cut all that down, cut
the overgrown grass away from the native stipa i have, which by the way is
sending up its flowers. The ornamental plum has just gotten its first two
flower buds right now. My potted Aesculus broke 90% of its buds recently ( is
this common? do they do that at this time of the year?) and has some nice
apple green leaves coming out.The oxalis swallows up everything on the side
yard and is blooming. I threw a large clod of dirt there and now i dont know
where it is, the oxalis is hiding it!.
well, thats all right now for me,
BJ
