Perhaps this might be considered a crackpot approach, and I'm not
recommending it from any experience, but I've heard of rooting some cuttings
in "willow water" or "coleus water". By this I seem to recall that you take
willow (or coleus) slips, plunge them into water, and add the cuttings you
wish to root. Enzymes or hormones from the willow/coleus are supposed to
stimulate rooting in your grevilleas!
I believe I might have read this in The Avant Gardener magazine many years ago.
What do you have to lose?
Has anyone else heard or tried this method? Does it really work?
