Finally I have arranged a trip to Greece!
My sister and I will be travelling on an organised tour around classical sites
in the Peloppenese, central Greece and a brief ferry tour around Aegina
and Hydra. We will then be going to Crete for a week and finally a few
days at Santorini. We leave on the 2nd April for 2 weeks.
Although the first part of our trip will not be suitable for searching for
plants, except from the bus window, our time in Crete will be free to
wander and discover.
Those of you who have been to Crete in April might have some suggestions
as to where to go and what to look for. I won't have time for detailed
plant discovery as I will mostly be looking at ancient sites, as I am
studying the Visual Arts of Greece and Rome towards my BA and don't want to
miss the chance to see the relevant bits and pieces. However, I would love
to be able to look out for some of the more common flowers that will be out
at the time.
