I _guess_ that it came from trucating the word 'Aussie'  - which
is pronounced `Ozzie` (not Oss-he as per Hollywood) .  Hence
this is Oz.   Australia taking too many key strokes and Aus being
too easy to confuse with Austria.

Woke up to 30 - will hit 40.  Humid & chance of a thunderstorm later. No

What a day to drop the car off for a service - normally a pleasent 1km
walk from work.
